The May Crosses of Córdoba

The countdown to enjoy the authentic May in Córdoba has already started! For more than a month you will enjoy the festivities in the city streets and it will something irresistible for any Erasmus student in Córdoba. Right after the Wine Tasting festival, the real party will start with one of the main and most popular festivals in Córdoba: the May Crosses.

When are the May Crosses of Córdoba celebrated?

By the end of April to the start of May you can walk around Córdoba and enjoy the traditional May Crosses, placed at different streets and squares where associations and neighbours put crosses decorated with flowers and a bar with music where you can enjoy the atmosphere from midday to 2 a.m. Then, the party continues until very late in the different nightclubs of the city.

Where can I find the May Crosses in Córdoba?

Our favourite crosses are the ones of Cuesta del Bailío, Santa Marina, Malmuerta Tower, Corredera, Tendillas, San Hipólito, San Nicolás, Trinidad and Cardenal Toledo Squares. But, in fact,  there are more than 50 crosses in the city whose location can be found in the map of the May Crosses of Córdoba. Don’t forget to visit most of them, because you should take the most of the experience during your Erasmus in Córdoba 🙂
